Diabetes has become far more known then it was at one time, many people are diagnosed with Diabetes yearly then years ago. Popular ways were designed to help those who were suffering and dying from Diabetes get help, but it is just not enough anymore. Many diagnosed patients are just not getting the effects that are needed from pharmaceutical medication so they are starting to turn to something more natural.

As unbelievable as it might be, most of the herbs that people turn towards are in your very kitchen. Cinnamon, Garlic and Onion are among the most popular herbs used to help those who have diabetes fight to feel less pain and feel more free. These three herbs used daily by most people can be given in medicinal amounts so that you can find yourself feeling better then you felt before. Of course, it doesn’t happen over night just as anything else.

Cinnamon has been around for quite a few years and originally came from the Lauraceous family tree. The bark is what is used to gain the cinnamon spice, which is used to make the cinnamon we use to put on toast, in coffee and for tea. Usually people are seen using cinnamon for cinnabuns, cinnamon rolls and cinnamon tea. Cinnamon can help to regulate the blood sugar level to help diabetes stay stable rather then an up and down approach. A study was given where 60 mice were given water with drops of cinnamon. The effects showed that the blood sugars dropped and stayed at the same amount without to much of an up and down roll coaster blood sugar level. Cinnamon contains different proteins mainly Polyphenols and antioxidants which help in transporting glucose and responds to inflammation.

Garlic is a species of the onion family and had been used as both food and medicine throughout many cultures for thousands of years. It can even be traced to the time of the Egyptian Pyramids being built. Garlic prevents high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cancer, and heart disease. That’s not all though garlic helps to regulate blood sugar levels and if garlic is taken over a period of time it can help to reduce homocysteine levels and helps to prevent some of the complications due to diabetes mellitus. Important though, if you are taking insulin it would be wise to talk to your doctor before taking on a medicinal amount of garlic and garlic must be fresh and uncooked for the anti-bacterial and anti-flammation to stay within the garlic. Once cooked or rotten the garlic is no longer good for medical use.

Onion extract is one way to help reduce blood sugar levels if given orally and repeatedly. The more that is used the better the blood sugar reduces. Onions affect the heptic metabolism of the glucose, this helps to release the insulin and prevent any damage that the insulin might cause. The APDS which are found in onions are suggested to lower the glucose levels by competing with insulin that in inactive in the liver which causes free insulin to get to the rest of your body. Onions are most used for helping to cure the common cold, heart disease and osteoporosis. They help with anti-flammatory actions, to lower cholesterol, help to prevent cancer and have antioxidants.

Three herbs used daily in your kitchen perhaps mostly for breakfast and supper will help you with the effects that diabetes are having on your life. Three herbs to help you feel better and help to lower your blood level and cholesterol all in one.
